Faculty research/praxis training session, Presenter, Nanzan University Summer 2019 The presentation showed practitioners how to approach pronunciation and prosody intervention. This approach utilizes simple metalanguage to introduce fundamentals of American pronunciation and prosody to learners and apply these strategies to natural dialogues.
January meeting, Presenter, Nagoya JALT Winter 2019 The presentation showed practitioners why and how to use journals for communicative competence building. Participants were given a brief research background supporting the use of journals and shown how small talk strategies can be built throughout two semesters. This was followed by a question answer session. This presentation also included an honorarium.
Nanzan (FLEC-EED) teacher’s handbook, Contributor, Nanzan University Winter 2019 At the request of the Foreign Language Education Center English Education Division (FLEC-EED), a practical essay outlining the Summer 2018 Faculty research/praxis training session outlining the use of journals for communicative competence building was contributed.

 The presentation showed practitioners why and how to use corpus in the classroom. Participants were given a brief research background supporting the use of corpus in the classroom and then participated in a training session that reflected the presenter’s successful pedagogy followed by a question and answer session.
