Regarding COVID-19 Measures (After May 8)

Headquarters for COVID-19 Measures

In accordance with the legal status of COVID-19 being shifted to “Category 5,” the measures regarding COVID-19 at our university after May 8 will be as follows:

  1. Regarding the wearing of masks on campus
    -Wearing masks is left to your individual judgment.

  2. Regarding university buses
    -Masks should be worn during peak times in the morning and evening (weekday first train to 11:00, 16:30 to 18:30).
    -Disinfect your hands before boarding (during crowded times)
    -Constant ventilation
    -Avoid speaking loudly.

  3. In case of infection
    (1) Students (graduate and undergraduate)
    -Attendance will be suspended for five days after the onset of symptoms, and one day after symptoms have receded, in accordance with the regulations of the School Health and Safety Act.
    -For the handling of missed classes, please refer to the notice from the Academic Affairs Division dated April 12, 2023.
    (2) Faculty and staff
    -Please contact your department or section office.

  4. Others
    (1) The “Nagoya University of Foreign Studies Activity Guidelines” will be set at Level “0”.
    (2) The “Web Form for Reporting Infected and Close Contacts (for students)” will be abolished.

※If measures to strengthen the prevention of infection are taken by the government or regional administration due to the spread of COVID-19 or changes in its legal status in the future, we will reconsider our measures.
