Novel Coronavirus Vaccination

June 24, 2021

Dear students, parents, guardians, faculty and staff
Nagoya University of Foreign Studies
President Ikuo Kameyama

Novel Coronavirus Vaccination
Nakanishi Gakuen Educational Corporation will provide vaccinations to all students, faculty and staff of Nagoya University of Foreign Studies and other institutions who wish to be vaccinated. This vaccination is based on the government's policy of vaccination in the workplace, and we hope that as many people as possible will be vaccinated.

This vaccination can prevent onset and severity of novel coronavirus infections. At the same time, it is also expected to reduce the number of infected cases by creating herd immunity when many people are vaccinated.

At Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, vaccination is recommended because learning a foreign language involves a certain amount of physical activity, and there are many opportunities for interpersonal contact during off-campus training and internships. In some cases, vaccination is a condition of entry into Japan, or a certificate of vaccination is required when traveling abroad for study or other purposes.

The Takeda/Moderna vaccine to be used this time has been shown to be more than 90% effective after two doses of vaccination, and we hope that as many students, faculty, and staff as possible will complete the vaccination program so that university classes and events can be resumed in person as early as September, as originally planned.

We hope that as many students and faculty members as possible will take this opportunity to get vaccinated against the novel coronavirus and start their new school life again.

The university will do its best to bring back the lively voices and smiles of students to the campus, and we ask for your cooperation.

The outline is as follows
