Developed visual aid presenting approach catering to ESL/EFL students’ needs and abilities. This approach is adapted from the Assertion-Evidence Method. In this adaptation, the slides students develop are divided into two parts: the assertion or topic sentence and the evidence or visual section. In the assertion, the student writes a concise full sentence, no more than two lines long, containing a topic and narrowing idea. This ensures the audience’s comprehension. In the evidence section, the students limit overuse of text by including visuals such as graphs, charts and pictures. Research states the brain cannot efficiently process both textual and oral content simultaneously. Therefore, the combination of the topic sentence and the visuals assist in delivering a more focused and easily comprehensible visual aid. 2013
